Aquifer- an underground layer of rock and sand that contains water.
Condensation- The process in which water vapor changes into liquid water.
Desalination- the purification of salt or brackish water by removing the dissolved salts.
Dissolve- Spread as tiny particles through a liquid called the solvent. A dissolved substance seems
to disappear, but it is still there.

Drought- A period of abnormally dry weather sufficiently long enough to cause serious effects on agriculture and
other activities in the affected area.
Estuary- The month or end of a river, as it widens and flows into the sea.
Evaporation- The process of turning from water to water vapour. This happens when water is heated
fertilizers- Fertilizers are chemicals given to plants with the intention of promoting growth; they

Green house gases- Carbon dioxide and other gases that reportedly contribute to the warming of the Earth's

pollute- To release harmful substances into the environment.
Purification- Making a substance pure, so that only it is present, and nothing else, by taking out
all other substances.
Sanitation-Maintaining clean, hygienic conditions that help prevent disease through services such
as garbage collection and wastewater disposal.
Sustainable- A processs that can continue for a very long time, and will not run out, be used up
or wear out.
Water table- the top level of water stored in the gorund.
wetland- An area of land that is soaked with water- such as swamps, bogs, marshes adn creeks.
